This Ode poem was wonderfully written. Definitely true to the Keats poem. Very detailed and well thought. The rhyming pattern was spot on.

Well done and with beautiful imagery. I especially like the "word picture" you paint with the lines:

Beneath your limpid surface, fish at play
Bedazzle with their hues quick-silver bright.
A gleaming world of wonder tempts the eye
With gardens strange in weedy disarray
And kelpy forests swayed by currents' sigh -
An Eden yet untouched by mankind's blight.

Your writing shows both talent and sensitivity.

Well, I think you are one "artist" who did not seek in vain to capture the mystery of the sea. This read as if I were riding the swells of the waves and left me to amazed out how many different ways the oceans can affect us and be expressed so beautifully in so many different ways.

Nature is an incredible entity unto itself. But it has no conscience. You can love it, but it will not return that love. I enjoyed the format you used similar to Keat's. You definitely gave your poem a "classical" feel.

kiwi, the parallel thyme that you employ according to Keats is well done. The personification of the sea is powerful and engages the reader in her mystery and beauty. Nicely done. :0 GracieAnn

Your anger dies and still your ebb and flow,
Unbroken for a thousand thousand moons .. love these lines

This thing of beauty is a joy forever, oh, Punctilious Punctuator! I wince as I read some of the stuff that passes for poetry ("absence of punctuation intentional!") .. then I read one of yours, oh maestro, and the world teeters back into balance again. :)

Here's my first six for the week.

Have a wonderful week and I hope you win!

Al the best.

Sonali, thanks as always for the warm words and the six shiny stars - you must have missed the comma that was supposed to be a full stop!

Make sure you keep that world in balance for the remainder of the week.
