Nothing smells sweeter than a rose nor does anything compare to its visual beauty. No wonder it has been the muse for countless love songs and poems. Your sonnet does it justice. Then to compare the essence of the writer's beloved gives a perfect ending.

excellent detail to senses not limited to the visual

It's precious you - add apostrophe for contraction of it is

This piece meets the criteria of the Petrarchan sonnet. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with glows/grows...rings/sings. Good description and alliteration. Good complimentary photo. I see nothing that I would add or take out of this piece. Good work.

I admire your knowledge on these templates...but I admire even MORE, that it totally worked in your piece before even finding out that there WAS a specific pattern behind it! A great poem with a structure that I am not familiar with, as my knowledge of poetic forms is very limited. As you know, my own stuff comes from the gut and bears a reckless indifference to form. Well done, not only for the beautiful poem but also for the excellent teaching.
