This was an adorable poem. I felt like a giddy child at heart while reading it. It reminds me of how when I was a child I always would pretend to be a super hero. Thank you for letting me relive the past.

For some things there is just no substitute. Well done with enchanting comparisons and true rhymes. Thanks for another delightful poem :) Anita

This is adorably cute, when paired with Sawyer's picture :-)

But my favorite part is
It makes a lovely Valentine's card
for those of us not inclined to be sappy sweet :-)

Nice write!

This would be a really nice poem to receive when away from loved ones. It boasts of the innate ability to be happy no matter what, and to acknowledge that some people make that even easier. Nice.

Another good one Brooke, good picture of that grandson. Words flow well and rhyme good as you tell of an antidote for everything but missing a loved one.

Hi Brooke,
I guess it how you look at things, and I love that you always go for the half-full glass.

This poem has the classic Adewpearl rhyme and meter with a beautiful melody within the words to enhance the message... outstanding.

With our thoughts we create,
an alternative bliss,
James xx

As usual, you have penned a remarkable poem to suit your picture of sweet Sawyer. A wonderful ending message in the last verse. Love the 8/6/8/6 syllable count for this poem. Super rhyme and meter too. I always enjoy what you write for him.
Blessings,
Maria

Another endearing poem dedicated to Sawyer no doubt. Your last stanza says it all. There is no satisfactory substitute
to fill the gap created by the absence of a loved one.

Encapsulates the wonderful simplicity of childhood: the trust and the wonder, but also, the irreplaceable need for a mother's love and nurturing. Nicely conveyed, Brooke.
Cheers
