Awww, sweet! I assume you have Sawyer in mind and it makes me wonder (if I'm not being too nosey) how often you see him? I'm sure it's not enough for you...or him. Love your poem. Dennis

Dennis, thank you so very much. I only see him a couple times a year because we're on opposite sides of the continent. We have lots of phone calls, but that just ain't the same. Thanks so much :-) Brooke

Brooke, the uplifting positive prescription to adversity and disappointment is looking for another way. This is inspiring for all who reads this. Great rhyme and meter, as always. :0 GracieAnn

Great poem about coping and making the best of things. Something we all have to learn to do, up to a point. Great rhyming, Brooke. Wonderful photos. Sawyer is growing up before our eyes.

This was a well written poem. The poem flows, and reads well. I liked how this poem sets up the end. The last stanza of this poem sums up everything well. Nicely written.

Wow. You're pieces always have such a perfect flow to them. Both in meter and story line. They always sails along without effort to a satisfying conclusion that is either uplifting or in this case heartwarming. You truly are amazing. mikey

this is very well written, brooke, you did an excellent job writing this quatrain poem about the way thoughts of you can't be replaced by anything else. I enjoyed reading it

Brooke, that's a sweet thought. Some things can be
substituted, but not being separated from that
special person. I bet grandma believes that for sure
about Sawyer.
