'I Contemplate.' Contemplation is what Sawyer will certainly be doing for many years to come. I can just imagine how eager he will be to learn all about this wonderful world of ours. Well done, Brooke.

The child has so many experiences to look forward to, from simple and likely, to complex and less so. I like your asides, once again. They make the reader part of the poetic experience. Well done, Brooke. :) Nancy

Thank you so much, Nancy :-) This child finds adventure everywhere - the elevator in a parking garage delights him. LOL Brooke

Elevators ARE fun, especially the glass ones. *Shudder*. :D Nancy

His particular fascination is with the buttons. LOL I went in a glass one when I was 9 and on vacation - I remember to this day the magical feeling I got :-)

I am terrified of heights - I keep my eyes on the buttons. :D Nancy

Sawyer's Uncle Eric has never been fond of heights, but his mom and I love them. I think the sweetest thing Eric ever did for his sister, Saywer's mom, was to go sky diving with her for her 30th birthday since her husband had the good sense to refuse. LOL

Wonderful poem, Brooke. How wonderful it is to look at life through the eyes of a child. Sometimes I wish I could go back to those simple times, but I wouldn't want to go through the preteen and teen years again. ;)

Another great job Brooke. I think the trick to staing vital is to recognize that things are yet to come even for senior citizens

Once again you put yourself in the shoes of a child and ponder...
A child's view about life's prospects in an imaginative little poem. Lovely sound, natural rhyme, and an excellent presentation. Great stuff! Enrique

A beautifully written verse. A delightful expression of wonder through the eyes of youth. Another form I must explore. I like the flow of this form. Sawyer is thoughtful and adorable as ever. Smiles, Robin :)

Getting lost in the innocent writing of a child's thought must be rewarding to you. I find much pleasure in reading your material. My blessings to you.

Excellent! Your poem reminds us to watch what we say around children. They absorb so much, if we talk about war and hate and negativity, they pick that up. We should let their young minds contimplate on bright futures.

Brooke, I wish I had a six for this.....I will say it again Sawyer is blessed to have you in his life. My children's favorite bed time story was the story about 'Us.' It comprised of photos and I wrote their comments on each photo. That's what your poems remind me of. It helped the kids read early too.
God bless
