Hi Brooke....what a lovely poem. So very true. The little ones have a life-time adventure ahead. How beautiful to see the world being discovered through their eyes.

This is a terrific poem about the potential that exists in every young person to become whatever there is to become. No limits; dreams abound.

A delightful reverie of possibilities posted poetically in this modified Octogram. It's great to ponder the things the future holds for that little guy.

The tuba's oompah in a band,
a castle rising from the sand .. love these lines ...

Perhaps I'll meet a cuckoo bird
(I'm told there's some),
or travel with a hippo herd
(some say they're fun).(ditto)

You know, Brooke, I believe the writer's mind and nature shine through his/her writing. You have the wonderful gift of entering directly into a child's mind and speaking with that voice - "unless you become like a little child ..." :)

You lovely vignettes give me my smile for the day. Thank you!

Hugs xxx

This is a wonderful description of what it must feel like to be a youngster. After reading your poem, I began thinking about some of the childish things I used to do (my wife says I still do). Beautiful piece my friend. Take care. Bill

This is a very interesting musing from a small child and gives deep insight into what he may be turning around in the mind. It is well written using good grammar and spelling. A very cute grandson

Your well runs deep and has pristine water. I like this form but haven't used it in a long time. I'm 71, but still remember those days of wonderment. Kenny

Meeting a cuckoo bird or a hippo herd...This is great, Brooke. Poem and photo mesh expertly. Great photo, Miranda!
Love your poem, easy to read, flows beautifully. You have a way of writing things that are fun for kids and those kids at heart. It spurred the daydreamer in me enough to give a six. Love it, Brooke. Fun read! Don't think I've ever seen a cuckoo bird either. lol. :)MW
