Allowing your mind to wonder in different direction and come up with a unique story is a gift from God. The picture makes one believe that the child is seriously contemplating about the future. Thinking of what is yet to come in a calm manner! This is a wonderful poem.

Well I hope your little man will not run with the hippos. I have heard they are really dangerous they kill more people then lions and tigers. They are becoming very dangerous,, I see it on a documentary,, back to your poem,, I love how you have your words of contemplation from your little man the wonder that await him,,well done,,blessings sueellen

I love this one. It speaks to the hope and beauty of childhood and what lies beyond. How a child thinks any wild thing they think about could come true.(like traveling with a hippo herd!) When I see this contemplative look on my grandchildren, I always wonder what that little mind is thinking. You have captured the essence of the moment. Life is good and stretches out so far ahead, so many things beneath the sun are yet to come.
