A Valentine Duet is outstanding. Such rhythm and rhyme here, it's perfect. Beautifully written quatrains with strong ending. Well done.

I really like the flow of the lines as they lead into the next and the rhymes and near-rhymes are creative. You keep the romantic two always in focus:)

I Like poetry when it speaks to us, like this one does.
for only will the notes you add
complete my song's creation.
I could have a little fun with this and ask if you write three-part harmonies, but I am being nice today, so I didn't ask ?
;)

Brooke, how very true. It takes two to make the music
of love. One just can't do it alone. You sure come up
with such precious pictures. Great rhyming quatrains.

Brooke, it's been a long day. When I opened up this notification in my in-box just now, my tired eyes saw 'A Valentine Diet'. LOL! Chocolates, champagne, strawberries, followed by dessert? LOL!
I love the idea of creating songs for two, that the song being written and sung is incomplete without both voices. And love should be that way, certainly. There's a certain whimsy in the sentiment, and a sweet sincerity. I enjoyed it very much.
That big smile on Sawyer's face is just priceless.

thank you so much, Av - the poor little fellow caught a bug from his mom and has been projectile vomiting - what a way to wipe that smile off his face... Brooke

Love your poem Brooke . Play two notes, I bet Sawyer was playing more then two notes on the piano so you as his Grandma will be his special Valentine.

what a sweet poem.
my favorite lines:
"The song I hold within my heart
has never been a solo,
for words of love when sung alone
create a sound so hollow."
nice way to point out how many people are in our lives that can make our song so much morebeautiful

What a wonderfully joyus poem, Brooke. I love every word from start to finish. You are amazing!
"My songs are all composed for two,
duets designed for voices
that harmonize to celebrate
a love the world rejoices."
Best wishes, Bob

This is so nice to read something perfectly written in English that doesn't need translation. Excellent sentiments put forth honestly and beautifully. Lovely picture that enhances so well. Love it, mikey
