A child's play, together to make music. Another interpretation could be wedding vows or the actual proposal speech. Nice wording for expressing the need for the song to be sung by 2, or else it just can never be. As a couple that work their togetherness into perfection can never not be that couple.

Hello adewpearl, Brooke, Your valentine poem is better than any chocolate delight. Nothing can compare with truthful words from the heart. I especially liked:

(Ahhh, you melted my heart with this one. If you didn't have a photo of your grandson and his "older" woman with him, I would call this an "ooh-la-la" poem, and it could be when sent to another.)

Thanks so much, LateBloomer. Lots of my poems are like that - they take on a different tone/slant if not paired with the photo, though strangely enough, many readers don't seem to realize that.
