You are so great with these aabb rhymes. It's always a pleasure reading you. You're so predictably good. Baby as usually looks like he's having the time of his life.

A great acknowledgment to the wind. Good imagery, solid rhythm and rhyme. I'm not a big fan of the wind and this poem reminds me why--the wind is uncaring and whispers or screams of loneliness. Good job, Brooke.

Now, there's a poet, indeed, that looks at circular ceiling fans and sees the North wind whipping frigid down the hills chasing foxes and hares. A small but dramatic write that's a treat to read aloud. Kenny

Very nice job of following the idea of wind into many breezy corners of life, starting with the lovely photo full of ceiling fans! *smile* I especially enjoyed the way you brought in the woodland creatures! Thanks for sharing!

Hi, Brooke.
This is such a beautiful and clever poem about the wind. You are truly a master of poetry. The fox and hare reminded me of the animals from Aesop's Fables. Your grandson, Sawyer, is the most beautiful child. He's at such a wonderful age, curious and inquisitive about all.
Sorry I haven't any sixes left to give.
Bye
Rosalyne :)

Rosalyne, thank you so much. Yes, he is at that wonderful age when everything is an adventure. He gets as excited by seeing fans at the hardware store and riding the elevator at Target as he does by going to the zoo or Disney. :-) Brooke

Hi Brooke, what a lovely picture and even lovelier poem. Your words provide such clear visuals of the blustery wind doing it utmost to chill everything in sight. The poor fox and hare don't stand a chance. I just can't imagine your nation going out to work in this weather. Loved the poem. luv jada

Thanks so much, Jada. Most of my region had a foot or more of snow with zero degree temps, which can shut down lots of roads and businesses. They manage to clear the major highways, but few people live on one of those - it's the six blocks it takes to get to the highway that kills people. LOL Hundreds of flights were cancelled at the airport, rail lines closed down - just one huge mess. But I'm cozy in my apartment because I did not lose power and I have myself stocked up with enough stuff to last a few weeks. LOL Brooke :-)

The simple love of fans is identified in Sawyer's mind as a producer of wind. The fox and the hare identtfy the chill of the winter winds as something they cannot outrun.

The photo is perfect. Yes I got it right away. My Grandson is about that age and would say the same thing. Great work. Compelling. Enjoyable read. Thank you.
