Nicely done as always. One can almost feel the wind blowing, seeking any opening to get in and cause a draft. Sawyer's presence doesn't hurt either...cute pic.

I'm sure if I thought for a decade on where to take a perfect picture of someone special, I would never have thought of Home Depot - and yet, there is Sawyer in his picture perfect way inspiring Grandma to yet another poem.
The theme is perfect and the poem a joy to read. Rose.

Thank you so much, Rose. One of the most delightful things about him is that everywhere is an adventure. I don't think he has a clue that most people find a trip to the store boring - he's excited at Disneyland and he's excited at a home improvement store. LOL Brooke

Wow! This is so good! Strong description makes me feel as though I'm there. Love the word choices. Very exciting and real. The conclusion stanza is right on. Loved reading this one! Judy

Bless him! I really like the format, with the initial rhyme repeated in each stanza. This one shows how lyrical you can be when you choose to, with pleasing pastoral images. Another winner, Brooke!

Dear Brooke,
I do the same thng at Home Depot! I have a ceiling fan in practically every room, too. This was a charming poem bringing images of animals and the fleet-footed wind. Great job--Ted

Oh, thanks for the explanation in your author notes, Brooke. I was one of those who didn't get it. LOL

I enjoyed your wind poem. Excellent depiction of the freezing blows of winter. It just cuts right through outdoor clothing.

I have to admit I don't care for its eerie wail either.

That is so darn cute. It's also astonishing to see some of what goes on inside the little one's head and most importantly how Sawyer and others in his age group associate things. This is amazing. I love the poem too, especially the alliteration in "wind is whooshing and boisterous and blust'ry."

And the shape of the blades also makes him think of stars, so he was riding through the star shouting wind, wind, stars... LOL
Thanks so much, Titan :-) Brooke

This seemed like a children's adventure story. The imagery of the animals trying to out run the wind was very vivid. I liked the fable feeling in this. Nicely done.

I love the poem and your notes make it even more precious. Aren't children such a joy to watch? I love their enthusiasm and find it infectious. Great work with this one and terrific photo too.

An inspiring poem I already want to write my version of wind wind.
You've woven very nicely one line into the next. Which makes a flowing text.
If only I could be serious for moment.
Enjoyed reading.Z.
