WOW!!! This was totally brilliant and the rhymes are dazzling. You deserve 50 stars. Sadly, I cannot rate it that much! I doubt I'd ever understand how you managed to get the first two verses of each part to rhyme!!!

The picture is cute and funny as well!

Congratulations on this amazing poem.

It looks like I am going to faint! =D

I loved the art work very much and the words written.

Sawyer is certainly having fun with these ceiling fans.

A great little interest and adventure for him.

Brooke, Sawyer puts a smile on my face every time I see a new picture. It is wonderful of Miranda to send you daily photo's of this little doll with his blanket in his hand.

My grandson Jayme, use to call his silk pillow case that he carried around, a "Woobee".

As I read your lovely poem, the first two lines of each verse has similar rhyming words and the last two lines of each verse has similar, but a different type of rhyming words. I will never be a poet, but I'm beginning to sit up and take notice. Ha! Carole

Sawyer loves his "loveys." They are super soft and each one is sewn so that there is a different animal face at one end. At home they're reserved for bedtime, but when they go out a lovey goes along to keep him happy. LOL Thanks so much, Carole :-) Brooke

Aren't these little grandchildren the most wonderful things. Mine brighten my day. Actually, Sawyer gives me a peaceful smile every day TOO!

I always heard people say grandchildren were the best thing ever, but I never truly understood until Sawyer came into my life. I'm so glad you have that experience in your life too :-)

I knew this was "Home Depot" before I read your notes. I enjoyed the poem as always. You include Sawyer in a lot of your poetry which is very endearing. Don

Hello adewpearl, Brooke, Another goodie. Your poem is filled and awe and imagery. I especially liked:

The wind is whooshing through the hills
as creatures huddle from its chills --

(I liked the above because I have a little bit of wildlife in my yard and some furry animal is always scurrying about.)

The fan photo wonderful. My youngest son use to love the fan section in HD ... Uhhh, he's a grown man now, and I bet
he still does. Just one small problem, he's outgrown the shopping cart, but he'd probably still get in the cart if he could find some foolish woman to wheel him around. Smiles, LateBloomer

LateBloomer, thank you for the laughs and for the great review :-)
They stay our babies even when they're grown. When my son calls I still call him things like sweetie pie, and he's 34 and several inches taller than I am. LOL :-) Brooke

This was a good write, adewpearl. It had a nice flow to it and also a good rhythm. The rhymes were appropriate and I enjoyed it.

Love the language in this one, Brooke. It reminded me of home - Beatrix Potter country. It has an old fashioned feel to it, and is, to me, so very poetic in what I consider the 'academic' use of the word.

I love that it was inspired by a modern appliance! I guess you could say I'm a fan of Sawyer! LOL!

Excellent. This is an enjoyable poem about the wind. I liked the story it told, and it seems close to nature. The rhyme and rhythm was quick paced and fascinating.
