kiwisteveh, this is a fun and whimsical limerick that journeys through the difficult end of the alphabet with panache and a few $50 words! LOL Nicely done! :0 GracieAnn

I am laughing hysterically at the play on words in pollymentarian :-)
good use of alliteration
I really like the rhyming and the visual in the W limerick
good internal rhyme in rotated/collated
All very witty and in good limerick form :-) Brooke

    Thanks, Brooke.

I think I am losing some of my enthusiasm for Limericks having tackled this task. Thank goodness the end is in sight.

I love to read these from time to time.

It brings about a breath of fresh air, a little smile to the face.

Well chosen words and good alliteration.

A most expressive piece.

Well done Steve,

RGstar

Kiwi...I especially love Wyn the welsh welder..........chuckled out loud at that one....

There was a gal, Ginger Vitus
She liked to sing loud to delight us.
Paid incredible sums
To brighten purple gums.
But now she's got conjunctivitis.
Just thought I'd share.....this is in print . Check out www.pagespineficshowcase.com NK Wagner is the editor. She is here on Fanstory.
God bless

Thanks, Jenny, for the review and the extra Limerick.

Yes, nancy is one of my fans, but I haven't seen her 'magazine' - I will take a look, so thanks for that too.

Have a good day - the sun is shining here in Northland after a few wet days. The tanks are full, the garden is smiling...

Do you live near Kaitaia? My mum was from Peria. It's near Monganui. Most beautiful places . I miss it :o)

No, we are at Parakao on the back road between Whangarei and Kaikohe. Where are you now?

Huray for getting past the "x", and you managed it with amazing flair. Limericks are uch fun. These stanzas made me smile. Thank you.

Well, Steve, I lost a bet with myself (don't ask how that's possible). I was sure you couldn't WoW me with an X. Well, now I owe myself a steak dinner (don't ask how that's possible).

Now that you're down to two letters left, I suggest you fill your remaining triptych with the letter Omega. Finis.

Thanks for all the entertainment, Steve.

Peace, Lee

    Thanks, Lee

I'm guessing if you'd won your bet that you would owe yourself a steak dinner - don't ask me how that's possible.

Gotta go learn Greek now so I can do that Omega Limerick....

Hahaha ... such fun lines! This was so enjoyable to read, Steve.

I laughed out loud at "Pollymentarian" ... how brilliant is that?!

Thanks for my morning eye-opener special with this one. Had I any sixes left, there would be one here with your name on it.

Y is it so,
only two more to go.
When it's only your first innings,
please go back to A and start at the beginning.

Sorry about the above but here is a six to compensate.
The Auld Yin.

You've sure accepted a very difficult 1st letter limerick challenge for yourself.

All 3 flow well.

Great fun and play on words in the 1st, though I'm not sure 'Marian/vegetarian' is a perfect rhyme as required in limericks.

2nd one you repeat ['er'] rhyme, as I'm sure you know.

Top choice of fun tongue-twisting words in 3rd, most of which I can't pronounce, so it's difficult to say it flowed well.

anyway, a very accomplished trio.

Cheers, Ted

    Thanks, Ted.

My theory on the repeating rhyme you mention is that the rhyme is actually on the preceding syllable, so you get welder/held 'er/propelled 'er which I am quite happy with.

Funny and clever limericks, Steve. I love your Xerographer's name. And poor Polly. Psittacosis, huh? Pollymentarian? Great line.

Well done, sir. This has been quite an undertaking.

    Thanks, Nancy.

Psittacosis is actually a very serious disease and one vets etc need to be wary of when it leaps the species gap and is contracted by humans.

looking forward to getting this series finished now!

Yes, I have parakeets. Something that has to be watched for. Again, well done, Steve. :) Nancy
