Both made me laugh out loud, Steve. Not for a children's book, that's certain, but these two limerics follow the tradition of good-natured naughtiness. Well done. :) Nancy

LOL. . . I think they are just adorable!
Perfect limerick rhythm and that quintessential sexual playfulness.
Best of luck on the publishing - sounds like a fun book to read :-)

What? No oomph? I thought these were great and clever. Is Yak doodoo really called "guano"? I love the alliteration of Zany zoologist Zelda. I think the zoologist limerick flows better than the Yak. Of the two the Yak feels more forced.

Thanks for the review.
I believe guano is technically reserved for bird doodoo, specifically gulls, so a little poetic licence applies - not too many rhymes for soprano!

Hahahahaha! I looked hard and long and could not find any way I'd want to change any of this. They are both very cute and amusing and I'm pretty sure no one would consider them "weak" by any measure. How difficult this must be to do, yet you've done a great job with rhyme, meter, and even a bit of a story line, which adds to the enjoyment and of course, the laughs. These are great!

That was a long intermission! But then Y and z would be the most challenging. One question: what is guano? Love the one about Zelda and her snake with the sexual innuendo of arousal.

Thank you. Guano is technically speaking bird droppings - it is mined in some places (gull nesting sites) for fertiliser etc. Here, I've stretched the meaning to encompass yak droppings...
