Hi Brooke,
A clever poem full of wise words.
I find letting my imagination rip on FanStory kills any brooding!
The lovely puss looks like my old cat Monty, who adopted me.

Yes, I agree 100%. The cat in the picture looks like our kitty only, ours is golden and not gray scale. The dull color adds effect for the mood of the poem. This was not your usual stuff. Makes me think you had something more on your mind and held back a little. Mike

Concise and punchy. Excellent! And so true, the best thoughts are when they're uplifting and wonderful banishing all anxious fretting aside. And the cat picture, cats always look like they're pondering something. Lovely work!

This poem certainly makes it clear how different kinds of "thoughts" affect our outlook on life.
Excellent choice of adjectives/rhymes in "ponderous" and "wondrous."
"weighted down" perfectly describes brooding.

'Thoughts.' "Thoughts can be so ponderous when weighted down with brooding - Better when they're wonderous, our nagging frets excluding. A lovely poem about thoughts. Well done, Brooke.

This is a fresh approach for you, Brooke. Nice kitty, and I love the ones featuring Sawyer as well, as you well know.

Their eyes can be so expressive. I have a white one that sits on the window sill and stares at us. I swear that cat was human in a previous lifetime!

This short work is crammed full of indispensable truth which we all do well to take heed to. The flow of the poem is even and rhythmic throughout. Have a great 2014

Nice poem to read Brooke with a lovely picture attached. Indeed thoughts can weigh upon us when brooding. It is not easy to ban brooding from our mind, but our thoughts are so much beautiful without.

Kind regards

Sarah
