Sage advice, it seems with cats especially, don't you wonder what they are thinking? Theirs is a secretive, puzzling world.

hmm. I think I will have to ponder on this one a bit:) Nicely written poem in Whitney form. Very true words indeed.

This is a lovely choice of words for this lovely form of poetry Brooke. I didn't know "wonderous" was a word (having been used to "wondrous" which I've discovered is the same meaning). Freedom from nagging worries is definitely so much better for our minds. An excellent write!
Thanks for sharing :)
God bless

This is a wonderful poem. The form enhances the piece. The rhyming is refreshing. You communicate the theme well. The picture is sweet.

Hello adewpearl, Brooke, Your Whitney is a wonderful piece of commentary poetry. Of note:
Thoughts can be
so ponderous
when weighted
down with brooding
(A positive attitude is always best. It keeps our head up and looking forward.)
Very good. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Oh, what a smart and clever Whitney, Brooke, so appropriate for the picture of the cat. He certainly looks weighed down with worry and fretting. Giddy

Ah, this is simply wonderful! I liked the strong, positive message which the poem conveys, and I enjoyed the quick, catchy rhyme.

Yes, thoughts can be ponderous indeed; in fact, the entire field of cognitive psychology is built upon the notion that our thoughts determine our behaviors. Another great job!

I enjoyed this one a great deal! The rhyme is just perfect and the message so meeting with my mind of late. Keeping myself up at night with those heavy thoughts!
