I like the message in your Whitney.
Better to think positive, happy thoughts
each day for a happier life.
Perfect Whitney form and the rhyme adds
pleasure to the reading. Nancy

Truer words never before spoken by a cat! I love the photo. In with the positive - out with the negative. Excellent words to live by and flows nicely.

You're obviously a gifted and aware writer of the whitney and its rules, Brooke, so I assume nature isn't a necessary theme, as in the current contest where it's specified.

Only ladies (and cats - in your picture) 'nag' and 'brood', don't forget. Haha.

Excellent assonance in 'brooding/excluding' rhyme.

Nice alliteration in 'brooding/better'

Very clever and fun read.

Best wishes, Ted

Yes, this is not in the nature Whitney contest - it's just a plain old Whitney. LOL Thanks so much, Ted. :-) Brooke

I was surprised you didn't enter the contest, Brooke - though I'm not complaining. :-) x

What a picture of Pixie, you can tell he/she is so loved. They have minds of their own and so fun to watch. They always look like their deep in thought. I so enjoyed this and it is so true. They say a cat picks its owner, we don't get a choice. LOL Blessings

Matoshka, thank you. When Pixie was approaching his bedroom the other morning, Sawyer recognized her meow before he saw her and shouted, Good morning, Pixie. LOL :-) Brooke

How precious is that, Brooke. It sounds like the two are quite the pair. Wonder what they do when no one is looking. LOL Blessings

As a man thinketh, so he is. Keep the positives, discard the negatives. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

Short and sweet and positive, and a nice piece to see on a late Saturday afternoon. Love the sentiment, Brooke, although a good purging is always a nice catharsis. I love how you ended it, and I imagine there may have been a tug-of war between excluding and working it around to end with exuding.

Awww. I love this Brooke. I love the picture. Cause I guess you know, I love cats. Sometimes wonder what they are pondering about. Very good Whitney. LOL Miss Sally

Amen to that one! As always skillfully penned with a great sage like wisdom - one I am struggling to find at the moment in my journey...new lessons for me I suppose :) - I liked this one my friend :)
Thanks for sharing it.
