Good poetry in motion here. Your words has been perfectly chosen creating poetic language. Excellent presentation representing the poem perfectly. Great metaphorical language between red and white, hot and cold. Life and death. Well done and good luck in the contest.

Thank you for stopping by! I am perplexed, however, by your comments coupled with your rating.

This is a very powerful poem. The word choice paints a vivid picture. The form enhances the piece. You communicate your theme well.

That is a very striking caption image!
Maybe literal but interpretable as loss of virginity and very obscurely as a period and possibility of pregnancy.
Nice deep imagery in there :D

Lovely picture, lovely poem. I have often thought God created cardinals for the purpose of giving us joy during the cold dark days of winter. The Lune style of poetry was a great choice for shaping this theme into a meaningful, spiritual message.

good luck in the contest
you ask: Who am I to doubt?
To question
What I do not know?
my unsolicited answer: you are the beloved of God.
Peace
