It's so nice when we can enjoy the simple pleasures of life, see and read about God's beautiful creatures. I didn't know about a Cardinal being a representative of a loved one who has passed, but I'm not surprised with how enjoyable they are to watch. Thanks for great poem.

Interesting use of the multiple stanza Lune and a moving portrait of the cardinal, which we don't have here in New Zealand. Maybe our departed spirits come back to visit in some other form....
I like the subtle way you connect this to faith for the contest.

Good lune poem so eloquently written. I love the sign of hope(the cardinal) surviving in the winter. I love the words thawing frozen souls. Good use of imagery!

This is a very well written four Lunes - I think if you spaced them in to four different parts it would help the reader. Thawing frozen soul - good metaphor. I've never seen a cardinal - but there he is in your picture in the snow - he looks more like a tropical bird. Good and enjoyable read. Regards Dorothy
