I don't know a lot about poetry, but I found your words produced a vivid picture in my mind of the brilliance of a newborn star penetrating the black, velvet sky. Yes, such a sight would invigorate the soul. I love gazing up at the stars on a clear night - there is something magical about it. Thank you for sharing.

Like the descriptive word choice. Also enjoyed the manner in which this poem was written with the +-marks in the form of a star. Well done and good luck in the contest.

Great use of descriptive words. "Invigorates" describes the emotion of the event of a new star. Well done.

Was wondering if you contemplated the use of "penetrating" with the possibility of using "piercing?"

I think you did well choosing "penetrating" because, "piercing" is over used in these events involving light and night.

Truly reveals your creative and insightful approach.

Hey Caryoln! A excellent Lune poem for the contest and creatively made. A beautiful bright star does something to the sky and it makes one appreciative of nature enjoy it just a little bit more.

This is quite beautiful from the author in this poem. Stars and indeed celestial objects have been given religious significance and connotations since the beginning of man's time on earth. It is no wonder. I often look up at the night sky in wonder as well.
