Hi Gayle,

The tempo is sustained and, despite wondering if something might jump out to surprise and interfere, it was almost with relief that noting actually did so. Yep...must be already rooting for this bad man.

The physicians' dialogue promotes the story line as well as interjects the first, real, possibility that Zack's ruse may be uncovered.

I like that he remained in his room (for future reports by others) and that the soup may, indeed, have some sedation in it. Now we must wonder if he'll make it without incidence through the night, into surgery and survive his post-op days.

Hey Helen,

The chapter did sort of carry that feel, didn't it? I love this character, he's alluring to me!

I kept him there to in his suite to avoid the 'other' patient from seeing him. Of course, she's had her final surgery today, so I figure they'll become 'socially presentable' around the same time. I can't wait!

This is a delightful chapter. I don't remember reading anything else of this story. I found your characters to be believable, and I am curious to know what is going on.
