Awesome children's prose poetry right here. Shel Silverstein would be pleased. :P I love the picture; it fits in perfectly with the story/poem. Well done.

Merry Christmas!

great picture for this poem
your words allow the reader to see and feel the images of Penny and Petey adventure to Timmy and Tommy's hose and the fun in singing their Christmas version of twelve days of Christmas and the fun in it all
flows well easy read

Very funny to read

Penny and Petey rolled up on the floor
Laughing like crazy, but crying... "NO MORE!
That was so bad, I think ours was the best,
Can't sing it to Phyllis ... she's got a weak chest!"
Timmy and Tommy both sat down and laughed,
"Not only that, she'll say WE'RE also daft!"

Excellent artwork to complement this poem

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

I did have a big chuckle at your rather cheesy poem for the children - now I'm hungry! The childish illustration was just 'write' for your poem! You sure put your thinking cap on to sort this lot out; great rhyming and all the different cheeses. A couple didn't rhyme, who can get a word to rhyme with feisty and babyels? So, part of your poem rhymes but not the cheesy part. Most enjoyable Mrs Hedgerow!

Thank you so much, Kay, the cheesy parts were very hard, so I had to compromise and do the best I could. Was fun though!! Thank you, dear, for the lovely review, and for all those stars!! Merry Christmas, Kay and a brilliant 2014 xsx Sandra

LOL! (grabbing my chest) Stoppit.. I can't breathe! LOL! Timmy and Tommy, you caught me by surprise! I love your song and am glad to know where Penny and Petey ran off to. They scribbled a poem about 'two cool mice and a lady who's nice' then took train fare from my purse and all the fish from the fridge, so I kinda thought that's where they might be. Keep them as long as you can stand Petey's snoring. And please wish Sandra and all your Hedgerow friends a verrry merrry Christmas from me!

I am sooooo pleased you liked it, sorry you have a weak chest, I was a bit concerned when Penny told us, hope you aren't in shock! LOL, thank you Phyllis, and thank you for the wonderful 6 stars! I will send Penny and Petey home after Christmas, hope you have a brilliant one! Happy Christmas my dear friend and hope you have a wonderful 2014 xsx Sandra

Had to read this again, and this time I found some things you'll want to fix.

    REMOVE commas below:

On Penny the Penguin's face, was a large grin

And then Penny told them, they came down by train.

Although she told us, we both were quite daft!"

    BOYS is plural, not possessive:

As she said to the boy's, "Well, can we come in?!" << just BOYS, with no apostrophe

Thank you Phyllis, got to get this one perfect! I have corrected the errors. Must admit, I was in such a hurry to put this out, I didn't edit it as good as I should. Have a wonderful day! Love Sandra xxx

LOL. OMG, Sandra, really, two lumps of blue? HAHAHAHAHAHA - eewwww.

1) "On the (twelfth) day of Christmas...twelve bits of cheddar..." *smile*
2) "As she said to the (boys)..." << no apostrophe

How adorable! Very creative, my friend. :) I enjoyed it very much.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

So nice to hear from the Hedgerow gang again, it seems a long time. Very cute and a clever idea to do 12 days of Christmas for the mice. Loved it. Wishing you a blessed Christmas. Rox

I am so very glad that Phylis' penguins came to visit your mice. The mice's twelve days of cheese was every bit as fun as the penguin's twelve days of fish. Lots of fun! Thanks.

Thank you so much, Nancy, LOL, I read Phyllis's Christmas Penguin poem, and had to invite them down to Hedgerow! Her Twelve night of Christmas, was really good, she had more fish to work with!! Some of the cheeses are totally British, so I don't suppose many will know them, but I didn't know many that you have in America. Thank you so very much for the 6 stars, Nancy, that was really lovely of you! xsx Sandra
