Along the river banks with its serene beauty and nature, we can feel so much peace.
As we moved along this challenging and peaceful stream, there is a spiritual calling as we remember the time of our Saviour who came to atone for ous sins.
In Him we find the feeligns and the hopes for mankind. Travelling further down, within the deep waters, we can see life at its best when we learn to care and share more with others.
Great write and well done!
Cheeerio, hugs and luv, bro Ritchie, :))
Have a great Christmas and stay safe over the mad rush. Smiles.

It's the holiday season and everyone is having a busy and great time, so all of us are late, smiles.

Hi Carolyn, A fine poem. There is a spirit embodied in your poem that is absolutely healing to the reader. There is a calm acceptance of the ups and downs of our life journey with the promise of a safe journey and reward at the end. I like your analogy of the river trip with our life journey. For those who worry about death and perhaps think there is a nothingness on the other side, you offer hope and a witness that there is a God, and a life hereafter. You have fulfilled your mission as a poet, to help others find their way. Your words flow like the river you describe. Beautiful imagery.

I like the way you have carried the metaphor all the way through this spiritual poem. I especially liked the first verse. It was a wonderful opening to the poem."Destiny's cradle" is a powerful metaphor. I feel that perhaps it could have been even better had you used uniform meter throughout. I found it a little stilted which was a shame.

The rhythm is continuous and helps the poem to flow freely. The nature has been beautifully combined with the simple meanings of life.A simple yet naturally beautiful piece of work.

You took a lovely photo :-)
solid use of rhyming couplets
nice touches of alliteration
such as River rushes, twist and turn
banks embraces - banks embrace
His heart's delight - add apostrophe for possessive
river's bank - add apostrophe
at it's best - drop the apostrophe
gorgeous descriptive detail
wonderful flow when read aloud
a thoughtful message of appreciation in this poem of faith
Brooke :-)

For the rivers bank on either side
of sparkling waters deep and wide
Portray a life-scene at it's best
Oh faithful one, you've earned your rest

Hi Carolyn, I do congratulate you for this outstanding poem and view, you rhyming turns the poem in a sweet melody, the subject transforms into words of doctrine. So well done. Bless you Happy Holidays. Terry

Life takes us on a roller coaster at times. The rushing waters of daily trials to live life to its fullest and simply to live life, with our families safety.
This was an excellent piece of writing. Your rhyming pattern was spot on and easy to read.
Great photo depicting your story...
John

I write and review in between jobs when I can. Hopefully in 6-7 years I can retire. Sooner if I can just be the next Jeffrey Archer!!! Haha.

What a beautiful poem this is, Carolyn. I so enjoyed reading it and thinking about my own life. I especially like the last stanza. Your rhyming and rhythm is great, making this an easy read, that flows along just like that river. Nicely done. Miss Sally
