As the days go by except for a blue moon you are so correct when you say it's almost taken for granted. But a knowledge reverie it blesses the sky with ominous beauty. Thank you so much for sharing this poem with everyone including myself. You have a good one in God bless.

Exquisite thoughts you composed about the moon. A lovely free verse poem. The quite serenity and it's closeness come through wonderfully. It's great the was it is, but I thing a little more sculpting of the verse might give it even more dash. Something like:
So beautiful
is the moon
as it sits high
in its
solitude,
looking down
from
its beaming throne...
reminding me
of its
magnificent loneliness
so close,
you can almost
touch it,
but it sits
unreachable
in its loveliness
most often
taken for granted...

In deed the artwork is fabulous with your poem.
The Moon (that me - Mahina) is certainly a mysterious piece of Rock.
I was reading that the moon from the perspective of Earth, looks like it never moves or rotates. But in indeed does if it is view from the North Star = Polaris. It take 27.5 day to make one rotation.. FYI stuff
Your writing and delivery has me spinning in joyful glee.
Makes me want to "Howl"... LOL
But seriously, this poem Rocks the house.
Just beautiful, like me!

Thank you MolronE13, that's wonderful of you to say, God bless your day...I enjoyed the bit of moon history also because the moon never seems to move although it seems to follow us. But as in Geography class we were all taught that the moon revolves around the earth. It is nice to know that when I look up at the moon, others see it too :)

Thanks for reminding us what is out there, for all who can see the beauty, even at night that is given to us all...And, so much occupies us on a daily basis, the moon is still out there, so wonderful, it shines,like a night light on the outside & it's free...and quite a wonder & yes, under appreciated.

This is a very simple poem but quite a lovely theme. You need to remove all your apostrophes in all the 'its'. None needed. Your adjectives are also bordering on cliches and more original creative ones would improve an otherwise quite good poem. But well done.

Thank you, I did go back to change the apostrophes as you suggested...it's late and I wasn't thinking and so glad you pointed that out. :)
