Common sense is the ability to separate the truth from the lies. The ability to think for oneself and not go with the flow. This is very well written. Good job.

This piece sets out to express an opinion, and accomplishes that task. One statement that leaves me confused as to the author's intended point: "The reason those in power don't care about the ignorant is that there is no such thing as death. What is there to fear if we do not fear death?"

I can disagree with much of what this essay postulates and still be a thinking, non-apathetic member of the human race. At the same time, I will staunchly defend the author's right to express an opposing viewpoint.

It has been said that experience is the best teacher. I have found that experience is the ONLY teacher. I try to write only from my experience. Thanks...John

WOW!! An intellectual who makes perfect sense. Not one to argue against common sense, I'll stand aside as the parade goes by and cheer and clap as it does so. The esoteric meets reality..ah the final conflict!! Keep writing the truth for the truth will set one free!! Excellent.

Regards:

I agree with you on many points. This is a well-written essay. I think more and more people are starting to wake up. I only wish we were more expedient. I fear in some cases it will only get worse. We are responsible for our current state and we are responsible to fix i,t and we can only start with ourselves so as not to be so daunted by its enormity and complexity.

Wow, I bet you got some great reviews on this or have all the Jesus-freaks left the site while I was gone? Some people are so sensitive. Any thing that forces them to question childhood beliefs scares the shit out of them. Oh my god, what if they were responsible for their own actions? You are right, we have largely turned into sheep, unwilling to think or question. But, I guess the ones who really listen, don't need the lesson. I look forward to reading more.

I no longer judge anything or anyone because I know that the universe is a connected bundle of thought. If I see something wrong, it means that something is wrong with me (my ego, actually.) Thanks...John

A very thought-provoking write. Most humans are no wiser than a herd of animals--one following the next. We often forget how many choices we do have and dwell on those we don't. An inspiring write, my friend~Debbie

Hello cogitator. This essay is very well written. I haven's seen you around in ages. Hope you are back to stay for a while.

Much can be said for "common sense" but no person can make another tap into it when they don't want to think things through.

Suggestions: "why do so many people choose not use it?" (left out a word here)

Merry Christmas. Bob

They can be sacrificed to society just like so many turkeys on Thanksgiving Day. - Favorite line!

You've written an incredibly powerful message, nothing short of artfully delivered. I love how you've covered all the avenues commonly used to avoid our own intuition and really cut to the chase ...Thank you for sharing!

I felt that your author notes were easier to follow than some parts of the essay. However, I believe that you feel very strongly about the topic of common sense.

I believe that the word "tuition" in your longest paragraph was a typographical error.

Thank you for the read.

"The howls of those who resent...wake-up!" (right-on) Government really means "control the mind" ? It is exactly what it is doing, but I did not know that it literally meant that. Big government and the elites who govern depend on mind control and dependency to grow government...pathetic the amount of low-informed voters, unconcerned that they are being led like "sheeple" to the slaughter. Loved your notes...we are all responsible...especially "what we ignore."
