Oh my goodness! I love this story! Now this little gem is something I will want to read again! The master of pure terror and horror has done it yet again! Every time I get back on here, I just have to go to your page and check to see what frightful tales you have spun for everyone, and in my mind, this one is a winner! The writing is perfect as usual and gripping beyond belief! Great job!

Well done -- another riveting scene.
You do a great job with inner dialogue in illuminating the character.
It seems to me that you sometimes doubt your skill and at times include unnecessary narration ie:
of his contemptible cheating chest
making sure he was tied up (so he couldn't get away),
drinking the entire bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon the two of them were to share (by herself)
I always enjoy your posts.

You've chosen a ghoulish path with this response so it needed to be well written to ensure it didn't slip into the pit of slasher noir. I think beginning with the operation and then following with the backstory worked well in this short space. It kept the dripping heart strong in the memory. Your slick, and at times, humerous elaboration of the boyfriend's fate gave the story real impact.

Geez you really know how to ruffle an angel's wings. This was just mesmerizing from start to finish. I cannot even imagine the bent and twisted mind that produces such skillfully crafted sagas with such unbelievably surprising endings every time. Did you write Saw? LOL. This is vintage Dean Kuch. The graphics, the historical reference, the tight plot, and especially the refusal to shy away from the gruesome details that make this type of story flow, (drip, drip.) Congratulations on a well-deserved win.

Then it becomes unbelievable when we need the willing suspension of disbelief. You held my attention and I succumbed with distaste. Can we ever empathize with Amanda and her vengefulness.
