I take it that these are the neighbors you wrote about in an essay earlier. Your rhyme and flow in this are excellent and the narrator's voice comes through very well. You give your impression of these neighbors very well. When people aren't friendly, that does raise suspicions. This reminds me of the Robert Frost poem, "Good fences build good neighbors." They seem to have an attitude that they don't care. judi

Hi yeah you are right. Apologies on the formatting I need to work on that more not happy with it. You have met these in my book may add it in there later. There is more to be said though for sure might be more verses, hehe. Thanks again

Yes I had just done an edit to the Creepy Neighbours poem and it went down for Maintenance. I have not asked Tom yet but I do hope when the site goes down we still get our time we have paid Member Dollars for; for reviews. I think the site goes down far too much myself. Got to visit the old house I grew up in other day. Not much old there anymore it was interesting. They have done a lot to the place.

like the choice of picture
you have chosen your words well to portray your neighbours
and to take the reader on your journey
you have great images that let the reader feel and see what your poem is saying
don't know whether the black does justice just my thoughts ?

A nice poem with a good flow and rhythem. My one suggestion would be to remove the highlighting of every line and just go with a bold text with maybe a grey background. I think it might be easier on the eyes that way. But other than that, it reads quite well and I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing, Brent.

I am giving this poem five stars, because it flows and rhymes well and obviously tells a heart-felt story of disagreement between neighbours.
However, I would be less than honest if I said I agree with the sentiments therein. I too have had neighbours who didn't work, didn't co-operate and seemed to have a bad attitude. Sometimes it made me mad. But at the end of the day, we all do what we can with the skills we are given and some of us have been more fortunate in that area than others. We just have to let it go and try to be good Christians and pray for those less fortunate than ourselves.

I agree and good to get a different angle on it. Don't worry we have let go and let God for sure. We got all worked up over this fencing thing which has given us angst for a long time, if you knew these people you would know where I am coming from there wi8ll be more verses and you will understand them even more. We did try to be friendly but well they are creepy for sure for more reasons than I have already stated. I hate the formatting will work on that too and there will be more verses. I have dealt with these in my book as well. Thanks again I like honesty don't worry.

I lived near Greystanes once and I know exactly what you are saying here about the creepy neighbours who are always against everybody else in the neighbourhood. I've got one now and she is just the way you have described in your eloquent poem. thank you for sharing it.
