that is such a cute poem, and what a perfect picture to match it. I can see those two as they are laying there, just so, and the puppy is confessing it's love in the kitten's little ear.
absolutely adorable

It is always a perfection of nature when we see different animals relate.
It teachers us only one lessons and this to be learned....that love has no language. Love is love.

Aw-w-w-w, what a sweet poem. It is funny, cats and dogs are always said to be mortal enemies. However, when placed in the same home and raised as part of the family unit, I've never known that to be the case at all. We've had cats and dogs in the same house, and they always got along and became extremely fond of one another, eventually.

Wonderful poem, it really highlights the fact that opposites do, indeed, attract.

    Hi Dean, It's always a pleasure to hear from you. Sincere thanks for your delightful comments and generous rating. Our cat (Tiki) and my sons two dogs (Doug and Gibson) who are like three peas in a pod inspired the write. That's been my experience as well. We treat our domestic and wildlife friends like extended family and the personal rewards are countless. Father Time and Mother Nature consistently resolve any differences, along with occasional instruction that all are welcome here. I finally posted a note on the profile page with an explanation of absence and look forward to returning soon. Take Care, JR

    Thanks, JR, and I read that note. I know what you mean about pets being part of our extended family. Our 3 dogs, 2 cats and our Parrot, "Izzy" are treated the same way here.

    Hi Sueellen, My sincere appreciation for your wonderful comments and positive rating. We have a menagerie of furry and feathered friends here too, domestic and wildlife. The only time I've ever experienced a problem was when my sons Pug got a little aggressive toward my raccoons but he has since learned that the wildlife comes to feed nightly and that they are all welcome visitors. It is a lot of fun to watch/ monitor the socialization, with each breed and animal having their own personality and is frequently the highlight of my day. About talking, our cat has yet to say hello in the morning but the dogs sometimes do... sounds like a stretched hellooo, or hello with a yawn included :) Best regards, JR

Good quatrain with ABAB rhyming scheme. Darling artwork choice. Cute surprise in the last stanza. I especially liked this stanza:

I'm always there to lend a paw,
Should you ever spit and hiss,
When pussy toes extend the claws,
Of my purrsnickity miss.

Enjoyed.

This poem is so strong, in showing how any type of bond can never be broken. Pets can have a bond too, and they can be together forever.

Finding its a well known fact:
"Its" should be "it's"
its = possessive
it's = it is

This was a very cute little poem about animal feelings.
I enjoyed reading this, it made me smile.
Good job and good luck in the contest :)

The picture complements the words very well
My favorite lines:
We both snoodle up and nuzzle,
Finding its a well known fact:
Pieces fit in nature's puzzle,
When two opposites attract

Strong contestant. Probably the winner.

Good luck and be blessed
