I give a five for the message you have penned. but your structure seems to be way off. line one, 5 syllables, line two, 9 syllables, line three, 7 syllables and line four, 5 syllables. to me this is not a 5-7-5 poem. I apologize if I am wrong. much luck in this contest,,,,,,jim

I think the poem is good, however it does not comply with the rules of the 5 7 5 contest. The contest requires that the poem have three lines with a total of 17 syllables.
Line one should have 5 syllables
Line two should have 7 syllables
Line three should have 5 syllables
Might I suggest editing your poem, prior to the contest voting. I hope you find this information helpful.

You need to rethink this piece of poetry, as this line has nine syllables in it...

a five seven five poem is five syllables followed by seven syllables by five syllables. So you have some work to do... John

While I generally like the thoughts in your work, they do not align with the contest rules. . .
I am not sure how to understand the third line, especially "remembering mark." Would a better word be "memorable" or "lasting". Also, I think that line should have an index capital.

I met by remembering mark that that's like the one thing people will remember the person for.Your Right I should have emphasized it more.Thanks for the pointer
