I think you need to break your posts up. This could be two short ones. For me, the opening was tedious. I didn't get interested until you started on Muhammed Ali's story. I love that you followed it with a satiric poem too. Too much use of There were or was or just plain was. I get the feeling this is a first draft with the thoughts tumbling out with no attempt at revisison. Sorry, Mikey, but I have to be honest. A bit of rambling here ( same as this review) LOL

Yes. The whole opening is unnecessary now that you mention it. You are correct about first draft too. I am falling victim to my own hype. hahaha. There really is no reason I have to post a chapter every night. I just got into the habit of seeing it on the front page and people asking what the next chapter is about etc. Great points. Thank you. mikey

Oh yes the fight of all times. And he was still the greatest even when he fought the health problem that took his dignity. He was still a fighter.
Diddley, spiddley spit? Okay

I had to really hold back. I could write forever about him. It is all so clear to me. This is all off the top of my head. I wonder why I can't remember last week? ha! You are so encouraging. Glad you are enjoying. mikey

Ali was a true great. Sure, he had a big mouth, but he was a showman. And boy, did they hate him when he changed his name, when he spoke up about Viet Man, stuck to his convictions even though it nearly cost him his career. And now with Parkinson's, does he hide himself away? No. The man has guts and truly is one of the greatest sports icons.

My one idol, I must admit. Part 2 tonight. Probably a part 3 down the line somewhere. This is more about what you are speaking about. Changing his name, the draft and the general perceptions at the time. Parkinson's and the Olympic torch and his later life I am sure I will touch on at some point. mikey

I am surprise you did not mention the fictional Joe Palooka and his world famous manager Knobby Walsh. (I trust I spell the names correctly. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

Glad you liked it. Trying to keep myself from really rambling on and on. Certain subjects are hard to reign myself in on. Thank you, mikey

Then there are others that simply live life in a way that appears to me to be larger than others and with gusto and fun. I like heart and courage. I like people that go out on a limb. I like true sportsmanship. I like humor and excitement. I love when someone can take something ordinary and make something extraordinary out of it.

This is my favorite verse. Its about You, and that verse shows who you are, and by writing , you are doing an extraordinary dream come true.
Because you had a self made up bringing, what lays in your heart, you are sharing them with all of us, and later with the world.
You are the most important individual in those stories, because without you, we would have never been able to admire and read your writings, taking us backwards and keeping us in Now, and tomorrow you will still be here to give us more gifts through your writing.
You are a stranger to me, but now I know YOU. The old lady loves you. Terry xoxo

I adored cassius Clay, I would sit and listen with my parents at unearthly hours of the morning, on the radio. Living in the UK we had to stay up late to listen. Loved part one, so have to read part two now. xsx sandra

Your man Henry Cooper gave my man a scare and put Mr. Ali on his bottom when he was clowning around one time. ha! Ali came back to win. But, he did the UK proud. Part two tonight. Trying to keep it to that. But, I am sure that later his name will pop up again. He is my idol after all, mikey

I enjoyed reading this article. It had me laughing all the way through it. Today's boxers just can't match the excitement of Ali.
