A great story of redemption. He sinned in his younger days and now three lives are gone and someone paid for his deceit.
Now it's time he saved the lives of his mate with his own. He paid his dues in blood and a life for a few lives, he did sacrifice his life.
Now at home with the stranger, he is Home again. And who that stranger is - needless to dsay it will depend on our faith and belief, smiles.
Beautiful write and well penned.
A wonderful story in a poem well told.

Quite a lomg poem but hald my interest right through.You have expresed your thoughts beautifully here.Not once did I think it wsa a father and son relationship.
The picure is alright and the title is apt.The rhyming is good.

Oh, I do hope you get out of this deathly mood, soon Steve. Nevertheless, this is magnificently written. I always enjoy your perfect rhyming and your meter seems to read with out a slip-up. Once again I read it out loud and the story became very plain on the second reading. Well done, Giddy
