Well done, Steve. This sounds like a grand event. Can't wait to hear how formally Cheesel dresses up. I loved that line and rhyme with Blackbeard's pyjamas! So much fun here - I feel like a kid reading these chapters.
What a lovely way to pass an afternoon.

This was fun. I'll have to search out the continuation of your piece here. I really enjoyed it and have nothing to comment on the review. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Chris.
Go back and check the preceding episodes too, if you have time.
Hope to work out what on earth a pirate convention will be like before Christmas.

Well, I'm not familiar with cheezal ( great name- his dad must have been Frank Zappa) but I really like your use of language in this one, specifically such twists as dramatical/ practical. Reminds me of A Wind in the Willows.

Thank you.
Take a peek back at the other Cheezel chapters which are in a similar vein. Kids' names seem so random these days. At the school where I've been teaching lately, on student is called Tre-Stylz....

These are some of the cutest poems I have ever read. I like the fact that use the same characters and the relationship between the characters is constant and very well defined. The rhyming and the theme is great. Nicely done

Very good use of the ole imagination. You're creativity is great. Your rhyming scheme adds even more character to your work and the flow is easy to follow and much enjoyable. Looking forward to more:)

I just adored this. Your rhyme and flow are effortless but it is the imagination of warm character that makes this such a perfectly charming humour piece. For a moment, I was taken back to the comfort of being a child. Superb.
Kindest of regards,

Cool idea to put these in a book. I am hoping that means more right? Went back and caught up. I had missed the second one. That was a little different but still in the same vein of a great story. This is just off the hook with imagination. Wow. Your command of the language allows to to write about anything that pops into your head with no language restrictions as you can obviously pull off any rhyme. There are some amazing ones here. Really every single stanza is original and witty and clever. There is no let up anywhere and that is true of the first three pieces as well. This compares to anything that has been written. It should be on people's bookshelves when finished. It will be on mine. One awesome inspiring piece of work, mikey

Mikey, thanks so much for the enthusiastic review and the generous rating. I am so glad you enjoyed the adventures of the rambunctious Cheezel. He seems to have a little life in him yet, so we'll get him through the pirates' convention, which promises to be fun, and then see where he ends up.
Of course, I would like to see him in a proper book - one day....
