A well written and delightful telling of childhood tales.
It seems you had a lovely and supportive family and plenty of outdoor family fun.
The things that seemed so basic back then no have caveman status withmodrn children.

This is most enjoyable. I would think the more the merrier of this. It really is a history of times long gone. I love the details of the style of living without electricity as we know it now and plumbing and running water, all things we are so spoiled about now. I agree that they should update this posting business and make it more friendly. we are so restricted in display and adding pictures. This would be fun with more photos like the one of you in the sand at your studies. Classic! So much you could add here in detail that would all be an interesting read I think. What music you were studying? Where did the shopping get done? What kinds of shops were there? Who cooked and what was the menu and method? No microwaves back then I imagine!! Good point on the wills. Sure brings out the worst in some folks when it comes to divvying things up. Greed, boy oh boy. I have seen that more than once. Great piece here. mikey

Thanks mate! Yeah I should add that when Dad and Mum broke up both sides of the family blamed my Mo0ther. Should add that some place thanks for reminding me. I really appreciate the great review. Thanks good friend becoming moreso as days go by.

He built our house, wired it, built a double shed, double garage, and used every tool that Sears ever sold to build wonderful things for our home. But not only that, he was a fisherman, built boats, just knew everything about anything. That was my dad.
Your story brings it back, and that is why you are such a good writer, you can pull at the heartstrings of so many people.
Don't ever let your writings get away from you; just make sure they are always there for future generations. :) Sandra

Awww thanks Sandra much appreciatred. have I given you a reviewers reward lately? See if I can do it again. Been working on some old sayings I have heard either from my Dad or passed on to me. One that Dad used to say was " I will give you a 'fer instance' " another one was I usually have four teaspoons of sugar but I don't stir it as I don't like it sweet! Duh!
There is a well known poem "The Shape I'm In" he always quoted " me pulse is weak and me blood is thin but I'm not too bad for the shape I'm in!" Looking forward to seeing my Dad in Glory some day. he claimed Christ for salvation weeks before he died Mum and I prayed for him for ovewr forty years. Thanks again. God Bless

yeah well fact is we need to make another will as we have changed, and family does not figure in it at all, sadly.

Hi Nosha. Not hard to get some humour I will work on that probably see some in some later chapters if you car e to look ahead.This was a very first run in this new chapter which was inserted after I thought some more on my childhood would be good. Thanks again.
