Do you know the group The Capitol Steps? They always have a number using abundant spoonerisms in their repertoire. You should look them up :-) Your rhymes are strong in good limerick format and your inflection is great when this is read aloud. The inflection part gets the better of many on Fan Story when they attempt limericks. And of course I like the risque humor :-) Brooke

For slander Doctor Spooner might sue
Unless his sly advances were true
When tipsy a white turd
Can be rather absurd
But it saved your verse from being blue.
(Without a doubt I have to vote for your fine limerick!)

Tony, thanks a lot for the fun review and the support - much needed with the rather underwhelming response so far!
I believe Spooner is dong lead so I won't be expecting any legal letters any time soon.

That is some funny stuff. It is sad when you mix your words ups, but it can make for some very entertaining dialogue. He probably would be slapped.

Hee-hee...
This one was clever, and a bit naughty too, and that's precisely what I enjoyed about it.
I wonder if the professor also asked her if he could have an ander at her gass? Hey, you never know until you try, right?
Nicely done, a very funny, clever, and very well presented entry.
Good Luck!

Excellent spoonerisms here. Very cleverly done. You have done the Limerick style to perfection and the bawdiness is hidden in the words. Great job!

Qualifies as a Limerick with all requirements fulfilled.
It has a five lines with a set rhyme scheme of : a-a-b-b-a with a syllable structure of: 9-9-6-6-9.
Very original idea. Good luck in the contest

Haha.... very witty, and the beauty of Spoonerisms is that you can be as saucy as you like without having to type any rude words. Nicely done. :-)
