I wondered whether Capsicum were particularly hot peppers, but you cleared that up for me. It's just another name for Bell peppers.
Cute kid, Steve! Really well-rhymed poem, with good flow and steady rhythm. I enjoyed the story, and learned something. Well done!

Very well written poem that flows along perfectly. It tells a good story also, about capsicums and bell peppers. I'm glad I read your author notes telling us they are one and the same thing. The powers of suggestion - typical that a child is influenced to want to eat what she does not realise she is sick of, just because a TV character ate them. There is some psychology at work here. A good poem in good rhyming couplets.Regards Dorothy

And then they say that violent programs don't influence people. Love the picture of your Granddaughter. I bet many Mums were heaving a sigh reading this, thinking of all the veg left on the plates and disappearing into the trash.

That's usually about all it takes for our children to be persuaded into liking something they had previously always hated, a cartoon character or a character from a popular children's show to eat, use, wear or endorse it. See? it even worked on Keilah!

Funny, I used to shun the capsicum, too. Now they are one of my favorites. Of course it took me a lot longer to come to my senses than Keilah.
