Lovely, how one writer can inspire another. Your poem is very melodic and dramatic at the same time, building up tension until the owl goes in for the kill.

Wow great right. Very compelling descriptions and a solid flow. You "capture" quite an impressive snapshot here.

I so loved the picture and your words. It tells such a story of the owl, it is gentle, smooth and shows the nature of her ways. I really, really enjoyed this. Many Blessings, my friend.

I enjoyed your Pantoum poem about the Boobook Owl. Great, close-up pic BTW. :)

I really like the format of the Pantoum, and I thought that it befit a write of this nature so well. The repetition of "her shadowed silver silhouette" and "she waits for swaying sedge" MAKE the poem!

Fabulous use of alliteration in those lines as well.

    Many thanks for your review, Goompa. I very much appreciated it! I hadn't heard of the Pantoum until last week! It is an interesting form and quite demanding. You need to pick the subject for it quite carefully, I think!

I have come to love the pantoum form after reading the exact same poems you did. I simply adore all of Adewpearl's work. This poem also was very nice, no help I can offer, it truly is very well written. The rhyme scheme is nice, especially the last line, it just flowed.

Wow - this is a really demanding form of verse and you have done an excellent job of meeting the criteria. The overall effect is spine-tingling and creates a really vivid picture of the little owl.
