I enjoyed the Halloween poem. I liked the style you used and the illustration was great. Nice imagery and the flow was perfect. Very nicely done.

Another simple but perfect little poem that is just right for the occasion. Love the picture that you've chosen as well as it fits perfectly with this poem.

How awesome that you've had several of you Halloween poems accepted for publication in 2014.Halloween has always been kind of scary and creepy so I doubt I could do anything on the subject that would be of an value. Great job. God loves you and so do we.

As much as this poem may be true to many, I'm afraid, not so for me. There is no doubt that if a witch cooked me within a cauldron, she'd find the meat quite stringy and tough.

Thanks for sharing this. JW

excellent alliteration in witches and warlocks and bubbling brew
I love the humor of this poem addressed to the person who is soon to be the witches' tasty dinner LOL

I've been trying to play with kyoka a bit. There doesn't seem to be a reference book on the subject as is has only been in the US a few years. Fun to try something different for Halloween though. Thanks, Brooke~Debbie

I think itt wonderful that you have poems accepted by a literary journal. Congratulations. Is this one for it has a special spark in the irony (the invitation) of simmering for a while.

Hello Debbie,
It's a nice piece of Supernatural poetry in the form of 'Kyoka' fulfilling all the desired norms.
Its wording is simple, matching the theme, having smooth flow with lively imagery.
'.....then a tasty morsel you'll be.' The last three lines emitting an ironic smell are worth noting.
Marvelous!
