I absolutely love reading your poems and accompanying stories. I just had to see some pictures and read a wee bit more. Fascinating stuff. Apparently, the current owner (a musician) and his family are aware of the ghosts which haunt the place, but say they're not a problem. They are more aware of the two little girls that still linger from the 1600's. Wow. That oubliette is evil. I can never grasp the cruelty of life in those days. Fascinating story from you. Beautifully written, presented and as always, perfectly rhymed. Ooooooo. Creepy....

So many things working in unison to make this piece really stand out. For one, I always love themes of medieval battle, so that was a bonus for me. Besides that, you make excellent use of proxy rhymes and alliteration to create a seamless flow to your rhyming quatrains. Furthermore, the extra sound effect over the music was the extra touch to this edition of the pictapoems that really put the piece over for me. Fantastic work, your hard work deserves seven stars, but six will have to do.

with cannons belching and the landscape alight with reds and yellows.... how you set the scene.

There's a real place called Leap Castle? Sure not someplace we would want to visit. They send in a WITCH to exorcise the castle. The devil isn't going to cast out himself, they're not too smart. Well done. God loves you and so do we.

Yeah, I thought, Why in the world would someone bring in a witch to do an exorcism?... Wouldn't a priest have been a better choice?

Something happened to the rest of my response to your review, Alex, so I will finish it up now. What I was about to say that your work has inspired me to delve deeper into the genres of fantasy and folklore as it pertains to myths and legends. Before I read Under the Dragon's Claw (which I finally finished about three-am our time yesterday morning after reading it virtually non-stop for several days), I never would have entertained writing a fantasy poem or story. But, now...well, you know, LOL...

I'm glad you had so much fun reading my book. So, you finished it--that's great!
Your mastery of the language of folklore is a talent that cannot be taught--must come naturally. Some of your writing reminds me of Cumbrianlass and ravenriter, both extremely talented writers who have a unique style.
Keep it up and I hope to see you soon as a published writer--or maybe you have managed this already.
