You have my prayers but it only means that you are about to be born into another world as your life continues on and on and on! Peace and blessings to you and your family!

I just read your author's notes - I am so sorry.
I like the way each tercet ends in a rhyming couplet
good alliteration in cleared my conscience
excellent use of enjambment to keep your thoughts flowing from line to line and from stanza to stanza
You convey your emotions honestly and sincerely in excellent poetic form

I am so very sorry, I'm glad you have support through this time. A lovely poem, shows the bleak road you are traveling...defines what matters in life. Take care.

Life does have its challenges and as we age things begin to wear out. I'm 86 years old and fought for my life for 6 years. Then this year I've been driving again. A week ago Monday I fell and broke my hip in four places. I'll be in the hospital until Sept. 16th, then I have to go to a rehab center for 3 weeks. Then home for therapy. No computer until then so Janie and I are tag teaming. I talk and she reads and types. We will be praying for you. God loves you and we do too.

Linda, you certainly deserve a six for your writing skills and for the bravery shown as you share this battle with us. I pray you have peace and the love of those around you. Life is a beautiful thing, who is to say that what lies after won't be even more beautiful. The fact it is unseen means nothing. Many truths are unseen. God Bless!

A very somber piece. It is the same fate that awaits all living beings. I think all we can really do is try to make the time we have meaningful and love our friends and family all we can. Perhaps the love continues on. Good writing.

I don't have six stars to give else you would have received said. The fact that you choose to write on paper your feelings about your current place in life is a heroic, commendable manner in which to SPEND your time. To share it with us is to example "good choice" - may we all remember your WISE choice when we, too, advance closer to the exit that EVERY PERSON WILL EXPERIENCE.

This is a sad poem friend and I'm sure the discomfort of your new reality fuels all kinds of dark thoughts. Unfortunately we don't get to choose the when, why or the how we leave this world, you just have to enjoy and take comfort from those who are their for you here and now:)
