Threw my bucket list away- you may not realize it, but you are doing a great think by continuing to post. I think you words at this time vitally important, reminding us to enjoy and cherish each moment. Your words are providing healing...And they are really good. I wish I had a six and if I did, it would not be a pity six. This is really good work. Hang in there and keep posting.

Thanks so much for reading and responding. As my heart weakens, so do I, finding it difficult to do things I would love to do, like kayaking, traveling, etc.

What can one possibly say to these words describing in detail what most don't even want to think about or face. That took a lot of guts as have the past several months of your life.
Your 1/2/3 line scheme, and subtle but intentional rhyme did not allow the reader to get caught up into too much mechanical aspects....that Would have diluted the message. All and all, you're a hero and your writing is inspiring. Matt Blessings to you.

It is difficult to know how best to respond to a poem of this nature, in view of your author's note. It is, of course, poignantly expressive and a triumph of the human spirit that you are able to create such a poem under the circumstances. Keep dwelling on the good and those most precious to you if you can.

Linda, truly very sad..know someone with Coronary Heart Disease..they told her she didn't have much time left....so she did her last days her way...very sad but a story well told..

Thanks for the prayers. I have set my feelings aside so that I might plan my own memorial service, write about my situation and say a proper goodbye to my children and grandchildren. I am the "rock" during this situation. livelylinda
