So Lexi is going to be like me? I was at the park with my friend in high school, yes, we played at the park in high school. Well, my friend happened to do a flip and so I had to do it too. Well, I got half way through and I couldn't figure out how to flip my feet over my head. While she was trying to tell me how to do it I was laughing too hard and lost my grip and fell in the sand on my butt. I fell hard and left a huge butt inprint in the sand. Yep, great times. :) Sounds like Lexi will have some fun stories that will bring back good memories for her and make you cringe.

Though tough to not reach out and help, kids need to be allowed to make mistakes ...unless it would lead to harm. A lesson to learn- if it is too hard getting up, coming down is a lot worse. Up and you are working against gravity. Down and you are with and against it. Learned this the hard way while rock climbing.

A beautiful portrait of a wondrous adventurous spirit that is your little child. Reminds me of my son when he was a youngster. We had a very tall tree in our back yard and as a boy he would try to climb it without fear or reservation. When he did he told that it was time to move so that he might find a bigger tree. Heartfelt.
