Demons in a real life situation would throw investigators for a loop. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

They haven't a clue what they're dealing with. I'm convinced the police should consider spiritual oppression more often. But that's just me. Thanks so much for continuing to be so supportive, charlie. I appreciate it. Warmest regards, Bev

Freaky twist, Bev. So Debra Paget had a hairball in her stomach. If I recall correctly, the killer works in the morgue, doesn't he? How handy for him, playing with the evidence as it surfaces. Looks like things are heating up.

The demonic connection is being developed. I'm eager to see how you handle the exorcism, or if you do. Good reading, Bev. Good writing.

Reporters are a pain in the butt. This is moving along very nicely. You are doing a great job with this. I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

The priest interrupted. "Wasn't that Monsignor Flaherty's parish (comma after interrupted)

This is getting spookier and spookier. The occult is definitely at work here. There's the matter of the missing hair ball that was found in Debra's stomach. The lacerations on Buell's body resembled a cross. And his wounds appeared to have been made by an animal claw. Skeets is right not to trust Danika. She's capable of playing all sides just to get her story. It's very revealing that Father Northrup says Father Brian has had experience in performing exorcisms but hasn't told the Sheriff. The meeting between the sheriff and Father Northrup should be exciting. judi

You're so welcome. I'll really be interested in what the sheriff finds out from Father Northrup. If someone hasn't got to the exorcist first. judi

This work has reached the exceptional level

Dear Bev,
Sure glad I am reading this before nightfall! Crazy people and boy does this one creep me out. Exceptional writing in this one my friend. It has such intense imagery that this story goes into areas so gray and devilish it scares me senseless even as fiction.

I've watched enough documentaries on this topic to remind me fiction can sometimes be truth. This packs a punch and has me wondering how many more twists and turns you are creating for us.

My last six to you.....this is a work that holds the reader captive, as the unknown becomes the known and the reality is rocked by demonic actions/imagery.

Exceptional and I read it without a pillow covering my eyes. LOL - that is a big deal indeed:)
Thanks for sharing,
Maureen

Great exchange of dialogue between the characters. The conversations flow and feel natural, and I wasn't confused about who was speaking or when.

"She tell you how much they've got?"
"From what I could gather, just about everything. Which leaves us with zip for a bargaining chip..." - This was one of my favorite patches of dialogue. The language sounds real and believable for these characters.

Your transitions through this chapter worked very well for me.
