Fun filled quatrains with rhyming couplets. You draw a great picture of the gum bubble blowing monster. I picture a friendly looking Incredible Hulk. Sawyer's expression is brilliant.

You are right that is a wonderful picture of your grandson. A smoothly flowing rhyming poem that carries the reader to the end so gently. Your talent is amazing. I love your stories that stimulate the imagination of the reader. Lovely stories that anyone could entertain their children or grandchildren. Well penned. Teresa.

The accompanying photo did nothing but make it even better. It's a lovely, and loving, portrayal of the child. I liked how he scared himself with something we adults take for granted.

Fun to read.

lol, I love this and I think I will read it to my five year old tonight at bed time, he will love it too. He loves silly monster stories.

adewpearl it shows just how much you adore your grandson by how much you write of him. And how sweet the poems are just as this one. I enjoyed the playful read thank you for sharing..

I agree, That is some expression. I don't know what to say about this poem. I enjoyed your description of a would be monster that became a very good friend. A good example that things are not always as they seem. A very good poem Brooke. Nancy

Hello Brooke
Wat a great expression I see on Sawyer's face.
I get the feeling with your wonderful rhyming poem you are referring to the Jolly Green Giant..

Thank you for putting a smile on my face..
Gert

This poem is so adorable! Although he looks like he's looking down rather than up... but what an expression! Shocked indeed!! :D

It's just a bubble, nothing more --
just blow another three or four."
And that is how we came to be,
the best of friends you'll ever see.

another one of your lovely - light-hearted poems, which are such a treat - and such a happy picture of Sawyer and his doting father.

Margaret
