A poem well worth reading, interesting and mystical illustration that fits, I like the title and the message, the author notes gave a little context but the poem really illustrated that issue well, and in a creative way, lines flowed well, the whole poem serves as a good meditation and mantra, a nice piece of work with great value.

This poem is one that I can truly identify with, it is a journey from the very dark place "The black Dog" as Winston Churchill called it. A lot of people resist taking medication, and it can be a life saver, if one had a broken leg they use crutches until they heal, the medication is the same for people who need it. In some cases to remain on the medication is giving a quality of life. There is nothing as bad as being clinically depressed, I prefer to have anything else than go back to that very dark place. Your poem covers it all, Thanks for sharing. Mary.

Wow. This poem really hit the mark for me. I love how you put very powerful, life-changing ideas into flowing rhymes and cadence. A great hope shines through as you go from line to line, each word becoming lighter, brighter, and gratitude for life is the magnificent reality. Sometimes depression can be the gateway to a more fabulous life that could be imagined. You certainly are an example of it with your powerful poem. Thank you for sharing. Love the image, too.

"Winds of Change" deals with a very difficult subject. You have portrayed the ups and downs of depression very well. The poem is well written with a strong abab rhyme scheme.

I concur with the poet toward the subject writing for meaning. This poem reveal someone I know who has fought this omen for several years. Very well done. I will make a copy and give it to her.

My fiance has been diagnosed with bi-polar so I relate to this. A well written and concise tale of struggle leading to a positive conclusion. No issues with the structure and a well chosen rhythm for the subject matter.

This is a profound piece which I suspect may well be written from personal experience.

It provokes deep thought. The rhyme flows well throughout the poem.

I do however have one question. In the final line of the fourth verse you write; 'Reuniting with' I was wondering would it read better as; 'Reuniting within'

Hello Earthwriter,
It's a thought provoking nice piece of poetry beautifully depicting how to enter brighter side of life by overcoming the darkness/ negative thoughts and feelings.
Its 3rd stanza is particularly worth noting which leads to the next stanzas as its logical outcome.
Its wording is simple, having smooth flow with nice rhyming scheme and imagery.
Excellent!
