A great Grim chapter about a very different Jack Sprat. You've kept to the original verse with - he munched the femur
she lunched on the spleen - very ghouly write, well done. Leaves me smiling
cheers.

Yes ma'am, and it was some mighty fine spleen to be had between the two of them. Great artwork. The trailer adds a very nice touch. I'm reading this entire book to review it all. I think I've reached its end. Thanks for posting.

Nice, Dallas, very nice! This is a great addition to the ever-growing list of sick, twisted & demented rhymes. I saw that movie, 'Ghouls', a while back, and really liked it. It was different.
I think ol' Jack got the short end of the stick here, though. His wife got the meaty, tasty spleen, and all Jack got was a big bone!

No, they are part of a book effort here on fanstory. If you click on very grim fairytales it will give you and option to submit your own chapter. It was just a fun thing for me.
Thanks so much for the bonus star. Glad you liked it.

Amazing how different each poem in this multi-author book is. I like your take on Jack Spratt. Very effective use of imagery and rhyme, Dallas. Well done!

I really like this grim and grisly twist on the Jack Sprat tune, and I found it much more well suited to the work than the last work I reviewed. The linework is richly twisted into a macabre tribute to the original work. Thanks for sharing, good night and later daze.

This is totally gross, and totally clever. I am so glad that I am not eating supper while reading this one! The idea of poor Jack Sprat feasting in a cemetery is quite original. Thanks for the reluctant giggle! Caroline

Great dark poem! I think the last line could have done without the word "on" in it. However, I think you did a good job, and I enjoyed it.
