This message and form is such a delightful read. It inspires the soul and
invigorates the nature of the beast. A delightful read and a form that I envy your mastery. When winter hits I will give it a good try. Smiles. Robin :)

Robin, thank you so very much for your generous rating and kind words. I do hope you give it a try once your schedule allows :-) I'd love to have you take my sonnets and other forms class someday where it is one of the forms we cover :-) Brooke

There is no place where dark belongs within a heart that hears hope's songs. Very strong wording. Understanding is light and light consumes darkness making you free from despair. Very nicely done. Best wishes in the contest. I shall look for it.

As you can see by your stars I loved this from start to finish. If the picture inspired you, so did your words to me. This is almost a prayer. It is an inspiration in itself. Nice writing. Good luck in your faith contest.

This is an excellent rondeau to enter in the faith poetry contest. The refrain is absolutely perfect for this poem, and should be have a hypnotic effect on the voting committee.

Despair cannot last in the light!

Cheers,
DW

Nobody does this form better than you. The poem is a lovely and strong affirmation or faith. The refrain impacts all three courses. Best of luck in the contest. Kenny

Nice, very nice, wonderful images that create a wonderous feeling of hope. A perfect comparison to the troubles of this world and the long dark. Yet, like the sun always rises to burn the intimidating blackness of night away. A beautiful poem, Brooke.

I love how you used song here going along with faith after a silent night. Many times people think of silent nights as being pleasant and peaceful, but here it seems to have a different meaning. I love the picture you portray - it seems to me that you tell us of despair in a softer tone than others tell it. You don't shout it out in the poem, but state it simply and smoothly. I really felt this gives the poem a whole different look on despair and faith. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem!
