How do you do it? When I was entering your world, it felt as the time has just stopped. I am speechless... Faith sustains us, more, it creates us and creates a world we all can live in, and you have captured this moment stupendously well.

Best wishes with your contest entry; loved the presentation and sun shining through the trees. Best lines - and life, once huddled in the night - within a heart that hears hope's songs - for just as sorrow seems too strong, my faith restores. Lovely quatrains for the contest. Well done Mrs Mustard Seed.

Kay, thank you so very much, my friend. As much as I love the writer of the winning entry in the most recent faith contest, I was a bit disappointed to see the contest won by an anti-faith message. I really wanted to deliver a different message here :-) Brooke

Hmm...must have a look at that winner. The times they are a-changin' and not for the best. It is a beautiful day here and I'm not putting you to bed just yet :-]

I love the explanations for many of the different styles of poetry, it kind of makes me chuckle because i still don't have a clue what's really been done. I like the way they poem feels, if that makes sense. I like the message it shares, faith, without it there would be no way to survive. Great piece. God loves you and so do I.

Thank you so very much, Evelyn :-) I'd love to have you take a poetry class some day to learn all about it :-) Brooke

Oh girl, you'd probably need tranquilizers by the end of it. Remember i only went to 7th grade and that was 73 years ago, I don't even know what half of those words mean. I love you too much to put you through that stress. besides there's no extra money. God loves you and I do too.

Well, I'm sorry the money is not there because I would love to prove you wrong about your capabilities!!! :-)

God may be protecting you from a hair raising experience...haha. i live on social that barely gets me by. Janie helps me do fundraisers so i can have money to pay the cost of my book so I'll have some I can give away to those that need it and can't afford it and then we need money for postage to send some to abuse shelters and homeless shelters. This fundraiser got cancelled because of rain, we have another one scheduled for next Saturday. Love ya girl and so does God.

This is really lovely, Brooke. The words of a very happy, optimistic person rings through this piece. What an awe-inspiring photo that matches this perfectly and reads aloud just as it should.

regards, Jen

A fine poem reaffirming ones faith in turbulent times.
I have never tried this particular type of rondeau poetry, the rhythm appears to lend its self very well beside the message you are conveying.
a pleasure to read and review
kind regards
trimple:)

There is no place where dark belongs
within a heart that hears hope's songs --
Despair shall never win the fight
to wrap my world in endless night,
for just as sorrow seems too strong,
my faith restores.

Faith restores everything Brooke and makes it all right. A beautiful rondeau. I like everything about it. SIgh.

This is a beautiful format for this lovely poem on faith. I love the alliteration like heart, hears hope and lingers long. What a great thought that faith is continually renewing.

My Faith Restores...I love that...I have really been so well looked after in my life even when I certainly didn't deserve to be that I know that there is a Higher Power and I wish I had your type of faith. I constantly am apologizing for my doubt to Him that I should have more faith in.

Lovely presentation, beautiful words - Dinah

...sigh...What can I say? Great is again too prosaic a word to define this poem. Actually, your whole poetry. I think this one is perfect for everybody to read and drink as food for thought. You know, I'm writing this poem called 'What are you waiting for?'. I'll dedicate it to this future writer who's about to take the plunge and publish her book. I don't know what she is waiting to set the wheels in motion. Her grandson, as well as her children, will be proud of the name she carries. I think she has had her faith restored and is finally gonna make her work known. Her name is Brooke Baldwin: American's next bestselling poet. Don't tell her I shared this with you. She's too humble to accept the truth.
