True, robina, very true...

I wrote one in a similar vein that I submitted to the 5-7-5 contest a while back entitled 'SURGICAL WORDS. Many people are under the impression that just because you're miles apart and sitting at a keypad, it gives you carte blance to treat people cruelly, make sarcastic, hurtful remarks directed towards them. It doesn't, of course. Sitting on the other end of that keypad is a living, breathing (hopefully!) human being with real feelings and emotions.

Keeping the peace, as you've stated so well here, is what it's all about!

Great advice given in this poem. The effects of words tend to stay with us longer then acts committed against us. To refrain from doing or speaking damaging words would be a great achievement. Great poem.
