Great story, and what a twist at the end, although you did give clues along the way(whining about her, for example). Although Ed's best friend turns out to be a good judge of character, the dog also has some not very complimentary things to say about Ed. Angel shows her true colors, pretending to be buddy-buddy with the canine companion. Great characterization of Angel, and what a good name. This moves with a nice pace, and good presentation of the doggie's side of things. judi

I love this.... I loved the twist....yes bodyguard but canine one ...I didn't see that coming and that's why I loved it....great use of the prompt....great imagery...great descriptions

I truly enjoyed this piece and the ending was superb. I really loved the surprise ending and feel you nailed it with this one. Telling the story from a different point of view and that was of Ed's doggie "best friend" is wonderful. In fact the way the story is told the reader naturally thinks the best friend is human. Great job!

'Every dog has he's day," they say but for this dog everything turned out just fine.
I quite liked the story from a different point of view.
