Funny. The seventh one over fifth from the top is a four leave clover. If you don't believe me, look for yourself. I'm not kidding. Let me know if you find it.

I was only 11 when I came to California and wanted to assimilate quickly--so, I lost my Brooklyn accent. The kids wanted to hear it, and my usual bit was "I'm not taul enuf to reach the warter forcet"--especially since I was 5' 9"! Thanks for your notes about the clover. I enjoyed your lighthearted rhymes and the matching picture. Cheers and more good luck- Joan

I am so sorry I missed this poem the first time around. I enjoyed reading this. It's cute and flows smoothly. I enjoy spring, it's beautiful and it sounds beautiful in Australia.

Yeah Sis except for the Clover and the Bindii, hehe. We have a Bindii and Clover killer here but as the old lawn mowing lady used to say it is useless, so we just keep mowing it over every year, now, hehe.

A very well-written fun poem. The four-leaf clover is said to bring us luck, but it is very hard to find a four leaf clover. I like the humor in this poem about falling in the clover between the grass.

I love the colloquial language in both these verses, (sort of like Tweety and Syllvester) but well done, a clever little work that should fare well in this genre of work, well done, blessings, Roy

Thanks Bro Roy. I got this out for a new friend I made on FS that had trouble finding the poem as she was born in Brooklyn, NY, where the language, especially in the first verse, comes from.

I loved this short poem. It was funny. I think it was cleverly written. The use of funny spelling to show an accent was great. I enjoyed this poem. I don't think there is anything to fix.

Bindiis are the plight of many any Aussie lawn.
Light-hearted, funny and absolutely true.
Well written and well on par with verse 1.
Spring sure is a lovely time of the year.

The Clover's ris'
"The" and "Clover's" should both be lowercase.

The first piece gave me a little giggle, and the second one too! (Once I understood what the accented word was.)
(Note: in your profile, "Piest" should be "piece". [I took French])
Good job and thanks for sharing! :)

OK thanks for the review, funny how everyone that reviews this comes up with something extra. You are right of course.
Appreciate the help on "peace" will fix that! First one to help me. I only did French for a year still dunno why I did Latin for three years after I wasn't gonna be a priest or a Doctor or a Horticulturalist! Good for figuring out where a lot of English comes from though I guess. Cheers.
    Thanks again.

Hello Sankey, I enjoyed this piece of Satire. It's like the Aussies always do to the Kiwis, their way their style and no freaking apologies for the way it is. Good on ya mate. xoxo Kiwi
